Total Web Solutions has received a communication from a group threatening to launch a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against our services unless we paid a large amount of money. We have of course reported the threat to UK law enforcement and will continue to work with them on this issue and have put contingencies in place as best we can to mitigate the crisis. Recent Cyber attacks against major financial institutions have been of significant bandwidth and should the same bandwidth be used against our systems then they would cripple our infrastructure.
